The Cobb Board of Elections is looking for people to work at voting precincts during the general election.
A poll worker must be:
- a U.S. citizen and Cobb County resident;
- at least 16 years old;
- able to read, write and speak English, and not have a felony conviction in the last 10 years.
Poll workers attend one, or more, mandatory training class before working at the poll. They are paid $110 for Election Day, $20-$30 for each training class and $15 for helping set up the poll.
Workers must arrive by 6 a.m. on Election Day and stay until at least 8 or 9 p.m. to close the poll. They must also provide their own transportation. For more information, or to download the Poll Worker brochure and application, visit cobbelections.org.
