Northeast Cobb Road Construction Update

Find out what road construction projects are happening and when so that you can adjust your commute.

The following road construction projects will affect traffic in the coming week, according to the office of Northeast Cobb commissioner JoAnn Birrell:

Jamerson Rd. to Wigley Rd.-April 7 and April 8

The contractor is not working this weekend on the project, but there could be some utility activities, traffic control or erosion control maintenance.

Railroad Crossing to Lee Waters Rd.–April 9 through April 13
Periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between the Railroad Crossing and Lee Waters Rd. One lane will remain open at all times. The contractor will be placing asphalt topping on side streets and turning lanes, and temporary striping.

Lee Waters Rd. to Trickum Rd.–April 9 through April 13
Periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Lee Waters Rd. and Trickum Rd. One lane will remain open at all times. Contractor performing grading, concrete work and asphalt leveling.

Trickum Rd. to Jims Rd.–April 9 through April 13
Intermittent lane closures as necessary from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Trickum Rd. and Jims Rd. One lane will remain open at all times.  Contractor installing storm drainage and grading operations.

Jims Rd. to Sandy Plains Rd.–April 9 through April 13
Intermittent lane closures as necessary from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Jims Rd. and Sandy Plains Rd. One lane will remain open at all times.  Contractor installing concrete curb, storm drainage and grading operations.
