Dry Conditions Could Fuel Fires

Officials warn that the current weather could increase the likelihood of fires.

The National Weather Service warned those in north and central Georgia that dangerous fire weather conditions were expected Tuesday.

Meteorologists say a dry air mass is traveling over the region due to high pressure over the middle portion of the country. The primary hazard, they say, will be the dangerous fire weather conditions due to low relative humidities and low fuel moisture levels.

The outdoor burn ban has lifted for Northeast Cobb, but residents will want to use caution when burning fall leaves.
