The commission heard a quick overview of the concept during its meeting April 3 but postponed the hearing until today so signs could be placed at the four proposed priority areas to inform the public.
None of the initial sites is in Northeast Cobb. The closest locations are at McCollum Field in Kennesaw and south of Marietta at the intersection of Powder Springs Road and the East-West Connector.
Northeast Cobb itself isn't on the planning agenda today, although two items from East Cobb are:
- A proposed office and retail development at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road and Woodlawn Parkway.
- The renewal of land-use permit for its day care center.
The meeting will be held in the second-floor boardroom at the at 100 Cherokee St. You can watch the meeting on cable Channel 23 and on the county website.
