3,000 People Participate in First 5 Days of Cobb County Advance Voting

Advance voting continues through Friday, July 27. Georgia's primary election is Tuesday, July 31.

The Cobb County Board of Elections reported that 2,955 people participated in . Of those voting, 2,383 were Republicans, 432 were Democrats and 140 voted non-partisan.

The Board has also issued 5,799 mail-in ballots: 4,086 Republican, 1,299 Democrat and 414 non-partisan.

Board of Elections Director Janine Eveler called these numbers β€œpretty much” typical for a primary election.

Advance voting continues through Friday, July 27 at the at 736 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta. Polls are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election day is Tuesday, July 31. Northeast Cobb residents will report to their normal polling places on election day.
