Police: NE Cobb Woman Pocketed Fraudulent Tips

She was arrested early Friday on a charge of theft by taking.

For nearly two months, a Northeast Cobb woman allegedly used stolen gift card numbers to add fraudulent and unauthorized gratuities to legitimate customer sales at a Johnson Ferry Road salon.

From Feb. 18 to April 10, Jessica Nicole Cannon allegedly pocketed more than $2,700 in fraudulent tips while employed at Intrigue Salon, which is in East Cobb, according to a Cobb County arrest warrant.

"Accused did steal cash that she was otherwise not entitled to from the cash registers of Intrigue Salon," according to the warrant.

Cannon was arrested early Friday on a charge of theft by taking. She was released that afternoon on a $5,000 bond.
