Police ID Suspects in Home Burglary

One was already in custody on a number of unrelated drug charges when the warrant was issued Thursday. Another was in the county jail as recently as April 24.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of two people in connection with an April 5 home burglary.

Kendall Newsome of Roswell was already in custody on a number of unrelated drug charges when the warrant was issued Thursday. He was released early this evening after spending 40 days in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. The other suspect, John Bradley Whitten of East Cobb, was in the county jail as recently as April 24 on unrelated drug and traffic charges.

Around 6 p.m. April 5, Newsome allegedly sent a text message to Whitten asking if he wanted to make money, according to Cobb County criminal warrants. In another text sent about 40 minutes later, Newsome wrote that he was in the neighborhood and asked Whitten "to let him know when he was nearby," records show.
