A Marietta woman died Saturday night while attempting to cross Jamerson Road in Northeast Cobb, Cobb Police said.
Xiujuan Chen, 78, was trying to cross Jamerson Road near the intersection of Jett Road around 6:35 p.m. Saturday when she was hit by a blue 1993 Buick LeSabre, according to Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce in a statement.
Pierce said the victim was crossing Jamerson from the north to the south side of the intersection at Jett Road. The Buick was traveling westbound as it approached the intersection, he said.
