Cobb County Police Precinct 1, Updated April 15

April 12, between 7 p.m. and 8:13 p.m. The victim left a bag containing $4700 in cash on the ground at a business located on Bells Ferry Road. An unknown subject took the money out of the bag before turning it in to the business.

April 14, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:18 p.m. Unknown subjects removed copper wires from the cell tower located on Bells Ferry Road.  

April 11 - April 14. An unknown person removed and stole the Illinois Temporary License Plate from victim's vehicle while it was parked and unattended at Crestwood Suites located on Barrett Creek Parkway. The license plate number was entered on NCIC / GCIC Computer System as stolen.

April 10 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. The victim's 2005 Toyota Sequoia was "keyed" while parked at the Wal-Mart located on Chastain Meadows Parkway. She advised that she has an on going dispute with the suspect. They exchanged words. When she returned to her car she noticed the damage. Suspect admitted to "keying" victim's Sequoia. Suspect came to Pct.1 and turned herself in.

April 11, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The rear window was broken out with a lawn ornament at a Hollander Court residence.  An Xbox was taken.

ARREST: April 11, 3:10 a.m. to 3:11 a.m. While on routine patrol in the Blackwell Square Shopping Center, Officer McCloskey saw a street sweeper vehicle stopped behind the business America`s Thrift Store located at 3344 Canton Road.  An individual ran from near the donation bins, entered the passenger side of the vehicle, and the vehicle began to move away.  The subsequent traffic stop and further investigation led to a theft by taking investigation and arrest of both vehicle occupants for taking multiple clothing and other donated items.

April 10, 4:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. The passenger side front and rear windows of the vehicle parked at the Woodbine Tennis Club on Pebble Hill Drive had been broken A purse left on the floor board of the front passenger side seat was taken.

Witness observed a Hispanic female looking into windows of vehicles and get into a black Ford Flex. A witness said the driver of the Flex was a black male with short hair.

April 7, 10:30 a.m. - April 7, 12:20 p.m. The alarm at a Leasa Court residence had activated around 10:30 p.m. on April 7; no entry found by police.  Victim located damage to the door that appeared as though someone had used a thin, narrow object to fit between the door and frame.  The button on the storm door had been tampered with so the button would not fully depress.  The victim stated that the damage was not there prior. Entry was not made, and no other damage was reported.
