New Kemp Road Fire Accidental

The Cobb County Fire Department responded to a New Kemp Road house fire on Thursday.

was dispatched at 6:27 p.m. Thursday to a house fire at 1937 New Kemp Rd.

The first fire department units on scene reported a small, one-story house engulfed with flames. The house was vacant.  

"The fire was under control in 30 minutes. No one was injured," Daniel Dupree, Cobb Fire Department PIO, told Northeast Cobb Patch in a statement.

The fire cause is under investigation, but appears to be accidental in nature, Dupree said.
