Names Released in Northeast Cobb Shooting

Cobb authorities have released the name of the victim and the suspect.

The has released the names of the two people involved in a that resulted in one death in Northeast Cobb.

According to police, a man called 911 at approximately 7:46 p.m. and told the operator he had just shot and killed his roommate in the 4700 block of Jamerson Forest Circle.

Officers responded to the scene and located the victim, 49-year-old Rhonda Callihan. Callihan had received multiple gunshot wounds and was dead when officers arrived, police said.

Dennis Robert Bredar, 65, was arrested outside the home and has since been charged with homicide and aggravated assault.

Bredar is currently being held in the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility.
