Motorcyclist Killed in Canton Road Connector Crash

The accident occurred early Saturday morning.

A Marietta man died early Saturday morning after he lost control of his motorcycle on the Canton Road Connector, according to Marietta Police.

Mario A. Duke, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred on the connector just east of Interstate 75 around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, according to Marietta Police Officer David Baldwin.

Duke was driving a 2004 Suzuki 600GSXR that left the connector and struck a guard rail, ejecting him, Baldwin said.

Police said no other vehicles were involved in the accident, but that speeding is a contributing factor. Anyone with information should call Marietta Police Officer Stephen Miller at 770-794-5356.
