Marietta-Area Man Dies in Indiana Jail

Foul play is not suspected in the death of Clinton Bozeman, 49, who was held on a public intoxication charge.

A Marietta-area man, possibly from Northeast Cobb, died Sunday in a jail cell in Indiana.

Clinton Bozeman, 49, who had a Marietta mailing address, was found unresponsive in a cell in the White County Jail in Monticello at 1:48 p.m., media outlets including WISH-TV in Indianapolis reported.

He was pronounced dead at Indiana University Health White Memorial Hospital, the Lafayette Journal and Courier said.

An autopsy is expected today, but police said they don’t suspect foul play in Bozeman’s death, Indianapolis TV station WTHR reported.

Indiana State Police are investigating.

Bozeman was being held for public intoxication, according to reports. Indiana media did not say why he was in Indiana.

His death came at the same time the Atlanta Falcons were playing the Colts about 100 miles away in Indianapolis in a game the Falcons won, 31-7.

It’s not clear whether he lived in Marietta itself or in unincorporated Cobb. A Clint Bozeman is listed with an address in Northeast Cobb on Caribou Trail.
