Woman Dies From Crash Injuries

Beatrice Troiano, 87, of Falcon Wood Drive in Northeast Cobb died from injuries sustained in a Oct. 16 car accident.

are investigating a serious injury crash which occurred on Sunday, Oct. 16, at the intersection of Canton and Jamerson roads in Northeast Cobb.

According to investigators, a tan 2011 Toyota Rav 4, driven by Beatrice Troiano, 87, of Northeast Cobb, was traveling south on Canton Rd. A white Nissan Frontier, driven by Donna Baughman, 69, of Bolingbrook, Ga. was traveling north on Canton Rd. For reasons unknown, Troiano failed to yield and turned left in front of the Nissan. Baughman was unable to avoid the collision.

As a result of the crash, Troiano and Baughman were transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment.

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, the Cobb County Police Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.) Unit was notified that Troiano
had died on Tuesday, Oct. 25, as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.

No charges are expected to be filed.
