'Baseball Wives' Star Arrested in Cobb

The estranged wife of former Sprayberry standout Kris Benson allegedly threatened him with a gun and a metal baton.

The estranged wife of former Major League Baseball pitcher Kris Benson was arrested Monday morning in Smyrna after she allegedly showed up at his residence with a gun and a metal baton.

According to TMZ, former model and "Baseball Wives" reality star Anna Benson was angry that she had been ordered by the court to vacate the marital home.

Anna Benson allegedly threatened to hit Kris Benson with the baton, pulled out a handgun and demanded money, according to the report from TMZ. She was wearing a bulletproof vest at the time, according to website.

When Kris Benson told Anna Benson that he would get the money, he left the home and called police.

Anna Benson faces four charges, including two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, one count of criminal trespass and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. She is in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Kris Benson, a Sprayberry High alum, played with Pittsburgh, the New York Mets, Baltimore, Texas and Arizona, according to MLB.com.
