Good Mews Kitty of the Week

Max is the Good Mews kitty of the week!

Max is an adorable year old kitty that is looking for a special home. He and his 3 siblings lost their home when their human mom lost her job. She could no longer care for them, so we took them in.

When Max first arrived at the shelter, we noticed he was breathing very hard. He was brought to the vet and it was found he has a severely enlarged heart. His life will probably be cut short because of this condition, and we really don’t know how much time he has. But we had another kitty at the shelter with the same heart problem and the vet thought she had about 2 years , but she has been in her loving home for several years. So we hope with Max, it will be the same.

We really want to find Max a loving home. He is a very sweet boy that loves attention and will head-butt your hand when you pet him. He will also give you kisses. Max went home with one of our vet techs a few times and she said he was the most well-behaved boy. She really enjoyed having him in her home.

Because Max is on medication for his heart and will need regular check-ups, he is part of our HALO program. This program is for cats that are often overlooked due to age or medical issues. Good Mews will pay for all of their medical care associated with their illness and their adoption fee is waived. The adopter must be interviewed and approved by management.

He gets along great with his sister Georja if you would like to adopt a wonderful pair!
