Overnight Storms Cause Some Damage

Trees were knocked down and some houses experienced flooding.

The Northeast Cobb area took the brunt of that caused some flooding incidents in the overnight hours.

The most significant damage is the downing of a tree and power lines at Robinson Road, between Creekwood Drive and Robinson Farm Drive. This stretch of road is still closed at the present time, according to Robert Quigley, Director of Communications for .

Quigley also said that a driveway was washed out at a house on Clubland Drive. He added that houses in this neighborhood are of older construction and do not have the same standards that modern homes do, increasing the chances of flood damage.

According toΒ , a homeowner on Clearbrook Drive experienced flooding when the home's storm drain backed up. Emergency Services responded to the home around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday and reported knee-level flood waters in the first floor of the home.
