Where to Buy A Christmas Tree

Where to find Christmas trees in and around Northeast Cobb.

To buy a real or artificial Christmas tree? That is the question.

President Teddy Roosevelt famously banned Christmas trees from the White House to champion conservation until Department of Agriculture Forest Service employees explained that proper forest thinning can be a good thing.

If you choose a real tree, it will reenter the cycle of life as water-conserving mulch if you dispose of it at curbside recycling programs after the holidays. You'll just need to remove all decorations, including tinsel.

Another option: buy a live tree and replant it. If you buy a tree with its roots balled in burlap, you can bring it inside for just a few days or leave it decorated on the front porch. After the holidays, plant or donate the tree.

If the shedding needles, watering and care of a real tree isn't for you, there are locations selling artificial trees listed as well.
