Northeast Cobb Road Work Update

It will be another busy week for road construction in Northeast Cobb County.

The following information on road work has been provided by the office of District 3 Commissioner JoAnn Birrell:

Canton Road to Trickum Road – Monday, July 30 through Friday, Aug. 3

This section of construction is substantially complete. The contractor will continue adding the finishing touches which will include fine grading and grassing shoulders.

Trickum Road to Jims Road – Monday, July 30 through Friday, Aug. 3

Expect intermittent lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Trickum Road and Jims Road with one lane remaining open for your commute. The contractor will be fine grading, grassing shoulders, and placing final lane striping.

Jims Road to Sandy Plains Road – Monday, July 30 through Friday, Aug. 3

Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sandy Plains Road. One lane will remain open at all times for your commute. The contractor will be placing concrete sidewalks and grading.

Holly Springs @ Davis Construction Update

This project is substantially complete. Final lane striping is scheduled for next week.

Mark Avenue Bridge Replacement Construction Update

Mark Avenue REMAINS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC AT THE BRIDGE spanning a tributary of Noonday Creek. The contractor will be forming and pouring the new culvert, installing storm drainage, and grading. Utility companies will be relocating services, which should not affect your service.

Roswell Road (SR 120) widening from SR 120 Loop to Bridgegate Drive Update

EXPECT DELAYS as the contractor continues night work through the week. This will include lane closures in both directions.
