A 14-year-old student was shot in the head at Price Middle School in Atlanta Thursday afternoon, Emergency Management Services said.

Former Ga Tech Employee Sentenced For Sex Crimes 

A Decatur man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to child molestation and sexual exploitation of children.

Sami Ud Deen, 43, was sentenced Jan. 23 in DeKalb County Superior Court, according to The Champion Newspaper. The prison sentence will be followed by 10 years of probation. Read more on Midtown Patch.

Body of Stone Mountain Man Found on I-85 in Norcross Area 

Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian on Interstate 85 North between Pleasantdale Road and Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

Around 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, a Corrections Work Detail was cleaning debris off Dawson Boulevard and Graves Road when they discovered a dead body.
