New Krystal Corporate Headquarters Moves Here

Krystal is moving its corporate offices to Dunwoody. The company is currently headquartered in Chattanooga, TN.

According to the Times Free Press, Krystal's move to Dunwoody will be completed in the early part of 2013. The company is moving to the area because Atlanta's larger airport will allow its executives better access to its offices.

The paper also reported that those cost savings will allow the company to open an additional new store every year. Read more on Dunwoody Patch.

Teen Accused of Abusing Infant, Breaking Bones

A local teen has been arrested in connection with a large knot on a 6-week-old baby's head.

Cartersville Police Department Chief Tommy Culpepper said in a news release that Dustin Michael Lewis, 18, of Cartersville, was arrested following the Jan. 30 incident. Read more on Cartersville Patch.

City of Dacula Awards First Liquor License

By a 3-1 vote, the Dacula City Council awarded the city's first, and currently the only, liquor license to applicant Heather Weaver during a Jan. 31 called meeting. Councilman Gregory Reeves voted in opposition.

Weaver, along with husband Russ, was behind the successful petition drive which led to the package store referendum. Their store, Dacula Cork and Bottle, will be located near the intersection of Hurricane Shoals and Old Peachtree Road. Read more on Dacula Patch.
