Police Following Up On Leads in Murder of Grayson Teen 

Gwinnett County police worked overnight at the home of a Grayson teen who was shot to death Wednesday afternoon. Cpl. Jake Smith identified the victim as 14-year-old Paul Sampleton, a freshman at Grayson High School. Police said his father came home at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to find his son's body in their Grayson home on Haynescrest Drive and called police. Family, Friends Offer $3K Reward in Cartersville Car Wash Slaying 

Family and friends of R.J. Statler, the Cartersville man shot and killed Sunday night at Sun Glo Car Wash, are offering a collective $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible. Read more on Cartersville Patch.

Georgia’s Jobless Rate Lowest in Almost Four Years 

The Georgia Department of Labor said Thursday that Georgia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined to 8.5 percent in November, down two-tenths of a percentage point from 8.7 percent in October. The rate was 9.5 percent in November a year ago. Read more on Midtown Patch.

Jesse Hill Jr.'s Funeral Will Take Place on Friday Morning at Big Bethel A.M.E. 

Jesse Hill Jr. passed away Monday, December 17th, which started a ground swell of love and support to be showered on he and his family.  That love and support culminates on Friday as Mr. Hill will attend his final "Going Home" service at his beloved Big Bethel A.M.E.
