Emergency crews discovered the body of a person believed to be male at the scene of an overnight house fire on Edith Lane in Lilburn.

When firefighters just after midnight on Dec. 3, the single-story home in the 200 block of Edith Lane was engulfed in flames.

Man Arrested for Shoplifting $350 Jeans 

Security at the new Von Maur store in Perimeter Mall helped police arrest a man suspected of shoplifting at the high-end retail store Sunday, police said.

A 20-year-old Douglas County man was suspected for shoplifting a pair of $350 jeans but was spotted by store security.

Atlanta Resident Starts Petition To Remove APS Superintendent

An Atlanta resident has started an online campaign to remove APS Superintendent Dr. Erroll Davis.

Late Sunday night, Molly Read Woo sent a petition to each member of the Atlanta School Board, asking them to find a new superintendent instead of renewing Davis' contract.
