The summer break for some players on the Kell High School football team will be interrupted in July.
A selected number of Longhorns will take part in a 7-on-7 passing tournament at Kennesaw State University July 10-12.
The Marietta Daily Journal reported Friday that Kell is one of 27 high school teams in Georgia that will be participating in the event, which emphasizes offensive skill plays.
Also participating are Walton, McEachern and North Cobb Christian from Cobb County.
Kell, which was 10-2 last season, will lead off the 2013 Corky Kell Classic on Aug. 24 at the Georgia Dome when it faces Chattahoochee.
