Authorities say a Woodstock man ran a roadblock Saturday night in Bartow County, leading officers on chase that ended in a Cobb crash.
Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said Winston Keith Wiggins, 45, was arrested after he allegedly failed to stop at Old Alabama and Bates roads near Emerson where troopers and Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputies were conducting a license check.
The Nissan Titan he was driving crashed on Interstate 75 at Canton Road in Cobb County after authorities attempted a traffic stop, Wright added.

Legislator Talks of Falcons Stadium in South Cobb
If a deal for a new Falcons stadium falls through in Atlanta, Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan (D-Austell) said Saturday that she'd like to see it built in Cobb County as a cornerstone for redevelopment in the Six Flags corridor.
“Certainly as a state legislator I know how important this is to the state and to the economy," Morgan said at a town hall meeting Saturday, "and I will be participating fully in the discussions to try to figure out what is in the best interest of the state.”

Jury Selection Underway in Midtown Shooting Case
Patch was in Judge Kelly A. Lee’s Fulton County Superior Courtroom Monday morning as defense lawyers for Nkosi Thandiwe and Fulton Assistant District Attorney Linda Dunikoski questioned 60 potential jurors.
In November 2011, Thandiwe pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges connected to the July 15, 2011 triple shooting spree at the Proscenium building that left Roswell's Brittney Watts dead and Lauren Garcia paralyzed.
Tiffany Ferenczy was also hurt during the shooting that resulted in prosecutors charging Thandiwe with felony murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, hijacking a car, aggravated battery and gun possession during the commission of a felony.

Mobile Tech Firm to Bring 800 Jobs to Sandy Springs
Air Watch, the mobility technology and security firm, announced Friday that it plans to bring 800 jobs to its Sandy Springs headquarters over the next two years. The company also plans to invest $4 million in new equipment.
Gov. Nathan Deal said, “Georgia has become a hotbed for companies engaged in mobile applications and other advanced technologies.”
