SunTrust Customers Affected by Computer Glich

A technical glitch on Saturday caused some SunTrust customers' accounts to be drawn twice in "client-initiated" transactions.

If you bank with SunTrust, you'll want to review your online banking transactions to ensure that you weren't one of many customers to be drawn twice for online bill paying transactions posted Friday night.

Mistakenly drawn funds will be returned and the bank said it also will address any fees triggered by errant transactions, Hugh Suhr, a spokesman for Atlanta-based SunTrust, said in an e-mail Monday, reports the AJC.

Suhr said that the number of customers affected was a “small percentage.”
