Q. What's the best thing about your job?
A. The flexibility I have. I get out in the field and see customers or stay behind the counter if someone needs me to cover for them.

Q. What is the best thing about Northeast Cobb?
A. No matter how bad the economy gets there's still opportunity here. There's enough density of people.

Q. Why did you pick this kind of business?
A. It's the family line of work.
 
Q. What are some of the services you offer that people don't know about?
A. Homeowners can come and rent anything you may need for do-it-yourself projects.

Bobcats are excavators that are easy to operate. We've got smaller tools like leaf blowers and wallpaper steamers.

Our primary customers are contractors. We've got everything that's expected at a rental house.

Q. How long have you been in business?
A. My grandfather started the business in 1974. My father owns it now.

Q. How did your business get started?
A. There was only one other place to rent equipment in the East Cobb and North Fulton area when my grandfather started this business.

We're in a great location and there was a call for our services.

My grandfather moved here from South Georgia to work at Lockhead. He quit Lockhead when he started working for himself.

Q. Do you have advice for anyone who'd like to start a small business in this area?
A. Location, location, location. Research your business. Be where there are a lot of people who can support what you're doing.

Q. Is there anything else you'd like our readers to know?
A. It's easy to get here from East Cobb; it's just a couple of miles. We're equipment experts. We have really good stuff and will send you home with the tools that can get your job done without issue.
