East Cobb-Area Restaurants Closing
Caffe Fortunato is being replaced by another Italian eatery, and Houston's on Powers Ferry serves its last meal Jan. 31.
Some significant news for Cobb foodies this week:
Two East Cobb-area restaurants, one rather new, and another that's been around for years, are closing.
The Caffe Fortunato location at Paper Mill Village off Johnson Ferry Road closed recently. On Monday, Valenti's, a family-style Italian restaurant, will open in the same space. Caffe Fortunato was open for two years.

The last Houston's restaurant located outside the Perimeter will be closing next week. The location at Powers Ferry Road and Windy Hill Road is shutting down next Tuesday.
Houston's has three other restaurants in the city of Atlanta.
