The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood -- The Art Place-Mountain View Curtain Call Youth Players presentations will be: Thursday and Friday 7:30 p.m.; Saturday 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m; Sunday 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. This Monty Pythonesque spoof features. Robin, with the help of a Merry Man wannabe and a band of forest friends, takes the audience on a hysterical trip through Sherwood Forest with surprises at every turn. Tickets are $9 online and $10 at the door. More details

Sock Hop Car Show -- Twist and shout your way to dancing fun Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Unity North Atlanta Church, 4255 Sandy PlainsΒ  Road. The Classic Car Show begins at 4:30 p.m. Costumes are optional, but the cost per person is $20 and includes two drink tickets. More details

High School Football Playoffs -- Five East Cobb area teams will be playing in the first round of the Georgia High School Association playoffs this weekend.Β 

Lassiter, ranked No. 1 in Class AAAAAA, will play at home at 7:30 pm. Friday against Brookwood. The same goes for Kell, ranked No. 4 in Class AAAAA, with the Southwest DeKalb furnishing the opposition.

Walton is at home Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Parkview. Also on Friday, Wheeler plays at defending state champion Grayson, located near Loganville, with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

On Saturday, Pope travels to Stephenson in DeKalb County for a game that kicks off at 8 p.m.

Legally Blonde, the Musical -- Another performance is slated for Friday at 8 p.m. at Act 3 Playhouse, 6285 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Tickets are $15 for students and $23 for adults. More details

Sprayberry PTSA Craft Show -- The 30th annual event takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the school, located at 2525 Sandy Plains Road. There will be plenty of holiday gift ideas from the many vendors. More details
