Free Acting Workshops for Students

The Cobb Public Library System staff will host acting workshops for Northeast Cobb middle and high school students during the month of March.

In partnership with TheatreSouth Atlanta, the Cobb Public Library System staff will give teens the opportunity to develop acting skills as part of the Triple D Production series. Herman LeVern Jones, an award-winning producer, artistic director and actor, who has worked with celebrities such as Sidney Poitier, Samuel L. Jackson, James Earl Jones, Oprah Winfrey and August Wilson, will teach the classes.

Students will learn basic acting methods, techniques and fundamentals.

  • Saturday, March 10: (770-509-2725)
    Middle schoolers: 11 a.m.-noon; high schoolers: noon-2 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 24: (770-509-2730)
    Middle schoolers: 11 a.m.-noon; high schoolers: noon-2 p.m.
