Campers Get Creative with Multimedia

This past week, The Art Place Mountain View hosted a "Multimedia Camp" for middle school children.

"Multimedia Camp" for middle school children was held weekdays this past week at The Art Place - Mountain View. Up to 24 students participated in each of the two daily sessions.

Instructor Betsy Khuri has a passion for both children and art, evident in her interaction with kids.

"Multimedia Camp was designed to encourage the creative side of students," said Khuri.

Multimedia Camp focused on the art of papier-mache and shadow boxes. Students made papier-mache animals, dancing and other figurines, and shadow boxes. In addition to making art, students played different games intended to keep the creative juices flowing.

"We encourage our students to think out of the box and to be different. We want to see different creations and not just one of the same thing. There are no boundaries here. We want our students to feel comfortable and creative," said Khuri.
