Gearing Up for Easter, Turning Off TV

Gather around the water cooler to discuss hot topics and what's happening today, April 22.

1. Since the county Board of Commissioners last week, we've had a lot of comments about Cobb employees' free use of the aquatic centers, the closing of two senior centers and relief that libraries aren't closing.Β

We'll publish a letter from a senior addressing the closing of the two senior centers in Saturday's Neighbors Vent. The Marietta Daily Journal has a good story about the impact of those closings. East Cobb Commissioner Bob Ott said the already was in the works because of its age and underuse.

2. What are your Easter plans? Do you know of any fun family events? Do you know of a great Easter brunch? If you have any suggestions for the best ways to mark the holiday, send them to julia.harris@patch.com, post them as comments at the end of this article, or post them on our Facebook page. Please ask friends and neighbors to "Like" our Facebook; they can stay updated on local news and events.

3. Did you realize this is TV Turn-off Week? It's time to turn off the flat screen, grab the kids and use our Get Out weekend planner as your guide to fun events.

4. Have you read the article Donald Trump for President? It is one of Northeast Cobb Patch's most popular articles. Trump says he's serious. It includes a video interview of Trump by the Today show. Many neighbors have left interesting comments on whether Trump would be a good president. What's your opinion?
