Road Construction Near Sprayberry High School

If you're driving in Northeast Cobb, delays are possible at the Sandy Plains and East Piedmont intersection.

If you're picking up or dropping off students at Sprayberry High School, there may be traffic delays as the Cobb County Department of Transportation widens Sandy Plains and East Piedmont roads to provide additional left turn and right turn lanes at each intersection approach. The project's purpose is to provide improvements in safety and traffic flow.

The existing signal will be upgraded for the additional lanes. The entire corridor will be overlaid and re-striped.

The project length is about 0.60 miles, according to DOT officials. It starts at Sandy Plains Road from the Sprayberry High School driveway to Kinjac Drive and along East Piedmont Road from Miller Drive to the Sprayberry Shopping Center driveway.
