PTSA Scholarship Applications Deadline

1. It's not the IRS 2010 tax deadline. The date was changed to April 18. Emancipation Day is observed April 15 in Washington, DC, so most federal offices there will be closed. By law, the tax filing deadline for the nation is moved to the next business day, Monday.

2. Don't forget that the deadline for PTSA Scholarship applications is today.   Scholarship applications can be found in the school Counseling Office or on the PTSA Website (www.lhsptsa.com). PTSA will award five $1000.00 and two $750.00 scholarships to deserving seniors who have demonstrated outstanding community and volunteer service. Seniors and/or their family must be a PTSA member to apply.  Don’t miss out on this great opportunity. 3. Join Lassiter High School's Concert Chorale as they perform the Schubert Mass in G with the Michael O'Neal Singers this Sunday at 3 p.m. at Roswell United Methodist Church. According to the MOS website, "MOS pays tribute to the choral musicians of the future in our third annual Invitational High School Music Festival. Outstanding student choral ensembles from Lassiter and Woodstock high schools will perform individually, then all will combine to present Franz Schubert’s celebrated Mass in G. Come be inspired by this intergenerational musical celebration!"  Tickets will be available for $10.00 at the door or by visiting the Michael O'Neal Singers website at www.mosingers.com. 

4. Attention furry ghouls and ghosts: Georgia Furs will be hosting a fun filled night of partying and put-put at 9 p,m. Meet up with Georgia Furs at Monster Mini-golf for games, snacks, and three hours of black light mini-golf. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Pay in advance here: www.MyFWA.com.
