3. When I first heard about Burn the Floor and Cheesecake Factory, I thought of swing dancing with cheesecake for dessert. I was sort of right (story of my life). Seniors, get ready for the international dance sensation, Burn the Floor.  From Harlem's hot nights at The Savoy where the Lindy, Foxtrot and Charleston were born, to the Latin Quarter where the Cha-Cha, Rumba and Salsa steamed up the stage, Burn the Floor will take us on a journey through the passionate drama of dance.  East Cobb Senior Center invites your to come enjoy the excitement of 20 championship dancers in a dazzling theatrical experience!  Dinner before the performance at The Cheesecake Factory. 4:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Cost: $86 Senior Council Members; $91 Non-Members. Price includes luxury motor coach transportation, tickets, dinner, and driver's tip.  Full refunds will be given if the trip is cancelled.  No refunds will be given after payment due date. 4. Who doesn't like business networking and breakfast out? Friday Open Networking with the East Cobb Business Association happens this morning at Capozzi's NY Deli.  Participants must buy breakfast ($6 + tip). Each members gets to do a 10 minute presentation. Latecomers may not be able to give their one minute presentation. 7:15 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. 4283 Roswell Rd. For more information, call 770-321-0301.

5. Will the winter weather ugliness ever end? According to the National Weather Service, not yet. It's going to rain all day and all night, and be freezing cold. If our high temperature in the next 24 hours rises above 39 degrees, we will be lucky.
