Sunday's Empty Bowl Brunch at The Art Place is among the holiday-themed events.

East Cobb Lions Club Pancake Breakfast -- All the pancakes you can eat for $5 will be served up from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Powers Ferry United Methodist Church, 245 Powers Ferry Road. Santa Claus will be visiting with children ages 12 and under. More details

St. Catherine's Episcopal Christmas Market -- A continental breakfast starts off the Saturday event at 9 a.m., with more than 25 vendors selling crafts, clothing, jewelry and more until 5 p.m. A secret Santa shop is for children 3-10. The proceeds benefit St. Catherine's Youth Group. The church is located at 571 Holt Road. More details

Johnson Ferry Baptist Christmas Festival -- Christmas concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday at the church, 955 Johnson Ferry Road. Admission is free and open to the public. More details

Empty Bowl Brunch -- Choose your own handmade ceramic bowl for $10 and have it filled with soup at The Art Place, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The proceeds will help benefit local charities. 3330 Sandy Plains Road. More details

Mt. Bethel UMC Carols for Christmas -- This year's performance of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” will feature nationally-known guest soloist Indra Thomas Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Director Ira Pittman will lead a cast of 400 singers, instrumentalists, dancers, and storytellers in the event at the church, 4385 Lower Roswell Road. Admission is free.
