Here's what you need to know to start the day July 7.

1. Not much changes in the forecast today. It will be hot and sunny with a high near 90 degrees and a risk of showers and thunderstorms rolling through between 2 and 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. We’re on watch for isolated severe thunderstorms. The chance of rain is 30 percent. The overnight low will be about 71.

2. You might now her as the original Parent Trap girl, who boldly went where Lindsay Lohan followed decades later. Or you might know her as the original teacher on Saved by the Bell. Or you might have forgotten all about Hayley Mills. But you can get a reminder of her child-acting chops today at the , which is showing her 1962 movie, In Search of the Castaways, as part of its free Globe Trekking Family Films series at 3 p.m. Call 770-509-2725 for more information.

3. WSB-TV reports that the Heroes & Champions Camp, scheduled to start today at the University of Georgia, has been canceled without warning and without word on when or whether families will receive refunds for the four-day camp, which charged $325 to $375. Both the website and Facebook page for the camp appear to have been removed. The camp had advertised itself on Northeast Cobb Patch’s calendar, and we’re sorry if the event listing here led you to lose money on the camp. If we find out more about what happened, we’ll let you know.

4. The state Department of Education released school-by-school results on the CRCTs Wednesday, and we’re working to make the data as local and as easy to understand as possible. Creating the charts is taking longer than we hoped, but Northeast Cobb Patch should have a full story packed with useful charts later today or Friday. In the meantime, here’s The Marietta Daily Journal’s look at the results from a countywide perspective, and here’s the state announcement with links to all the data. Here’s the article we had about the county results.

5. A Northeast Cobb murderer is due for execution July 20, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The state Department of Corrections made that date at 7 p.m. official Wednesday for the execution of Andrew Grant DeYoung, who killed his parents and 14-year-old sister at their Northeast Cobb house in June 1993 when he was a 19-year-old student at Kennesaw State. Here’s the U.S. Court of Appeals report on his appeal, with details of the crime.
