Morning Briefing: Just Another Manic Monday

1. Weather: The high temperature today is expected to be 92 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight's low will dip to around 70. If you're hitting the road before 8 a.m. beware of some patchy fog that may be lingering. There is a 40 percent chance of rain today and a 30 percent chance tonight.

2. In Case You Missed It: A 3-year-old child was abducted by his non-custodial parent in Monroe on Saturday. in hopes of locating the child and parent, who said the child would be taken across state lines and never seen again. The child was found in Pope County on Sunday and the parent was arrested. 

Kell High School football player . Mauger made the decision last week in secret and surprised his mother at a Georgia football prospect camp. Bulldog fans hope that Mauger will be able to convince teammate and friend Brendan Langley to join him in the Georgia backfield.

3. Happening Now: The Cobb Photographic Society is calling all shutterbugs to attend their meeting tonight at 7. The society welcomes photographers of all skill levels and interests and offers many fun activities like field trips and instructional lectures.

4. Looking Ahead on Northeast Cobb Patch: Cobb County has released their annual water quality standards report. Check back this afternoon to find out how well the county did this year and learn a little bit more about water inspections.
