Morning Briefing: "...And Pray for Rain"

Here are some things you'll need to know in Northeast Cobb before heading out on July 2.

1. Weather: We may finally get a brief respite from these unbearable temperatures, with a 20 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms in the area according to the National Weather Service. Even with the rain, temperatures are still expected to reach 97 degrees, with a heat index topping triple digits. Tonight, temperatures will dip to a balmy 71 degrees.

2. In Case You Missed It: MUST Ministries is seeking more food donations and volunteers for the summer season. Children who MUST serves are now out of school, and the absence of school lunches forces MUST to pick up the slack to help them out.
