Meet Pastor John Johnson
Each week Northeast Cobb Patch will profile a local pastor. This week, the new Senior Pastor of Crossview Baptist Church, John E. Johnson, gives us a glimpse into his life and the church.
Church history and overview:
Crossview Baptist Church has established itself at the location of 1100 Piedmont
Road in Marietta. The site was once the thriving Cavalry Baptist Church, which went through financial struggles at the turn of the century. East Side Baptist revived the church by making it a part of their Piedmont division, which led the way for Crossview to become its own entity three years ago.
Crossview hosts a partnership with the First Asian and Indian Baptist Church of Metro Atlanta and an education partnership with J.J. Daniel Middle School. Crossview also coordinates many inspiring ministries, such as financial support for Red Cross rescue units all over the world, as well as a ministry partnership with Nelson Price Treatment Center, which reaches out to youth struggling with substance dependencies and gives them a spiritual shelter twice a month.
Senior Pastor John E. Johnson leads Crossview Baptist. He is this week's featured pastor and has kindly given us a glimpse into his personal life.

When I'm away from the pulpit, I like to... have family time; that's the first thing on my list after church. We like to hike, watch movies, and anything else we can do as a family.
If I weren't a (rabbi, priest, imam, minister, pastor, etc) I would be... bored!
Quotation I live by: Jesus said that our first task is to love God, our second is to love people. What we do as Christians revolves around those two commands.
