Edwin McCain and The Godfather

Plays, live concerts and festivals are waiting for you this weekend.

Check out these awesome Northeast Cobb events this weekend:

1. Edwin McCain - Live
When/Where: Saturday, 7:30 p.m.  , 101 Arnold Mill Rd, Woodstock.
Why go: Enjoy Edwin McCain performing live and the warm evening outside with friends and family during the Summer Concert Series downtown Woodstock.
Price: Free.

2. Marietta Greek Festival
When/Where: Friday, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. - 11 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. 3431 Trickum Rd NE. (Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church)
Why go: Enjoy a taste of Greek cuisine and culture at this festival, which features authentic Greek dishes, traditional dancing, music and a marketplace.
Price: Free admission Friday 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. $3 per person, $5 for weekend pass.

3. The Reluctant Debutante
When/Where:  Saturday 7 p.m. and Sunday 2:30 p.m. The Stellar Cellar, St. James Episcopal Church, 161 Church Street.
Why go:
You enjoy live theatre. This play is about young girls being forced into high society in efforts to find a suitable husband.
Price: $20 including dinner Saturday; $10 Sunday matinee.

4. Moonlight and Magnolias by Ron Hutchinson
When/Where:
3330 Sandy Plains Road.
Why go: You need to be a fan of bananas and peanuts which play a central role in this attempt to fix the screenplay of Gone With the Wind.
Price: $12.

5. The Godfather
When/Where: Friday 8 p.m.; , 117 N Park Sq NE, Marietta.
Why go: You enjoy classics. This three-time Academy Award winning mob-drama is performed live on stage.
Price: $8 for adults and $7 students 17 and older, and seniors. Buy tickets online.
