Cobb Escapes Storm Damage

Cobb County escaped the wrath of tornadoes Wednesday, but another nearby county wasn't so lucky.

Tornado sirens wailed across parts of Cobb County Wednesday afternoon.

Marietta experienced a lot of wind, rain and nervousness as the tornado sirens blared, but avoided any serious effects. The storms moved through less than three hours after the county’s 911 system was down.
