Join the Cobb County Public Library System to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with special activities for kids.

Join the Cobb County Public Library System to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with special activities for kids, including:

  • West Cobb Regional Library's Dove of Peace Handprint CraftΒ program, which is scheduled for three days: Thursday, January 16, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Friday, January 17, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come to the library and make a craft in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parental assistance may be needed.   • School Age Special Program - MLK Leads the Way: Thursday, January 16, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., South Cobb Regional Library. Discover the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr., followed by a hands-on craft project. Ages 5 and up. For more information, call (678) 398-5828.
  • Make New Friends @ Preschool Time: Tuesday, January 21, 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Switzer Library. Preschoolers experience age appropriate stories, songs, rhymes and special activities at this story time. Geared towards 4 and 5 year olds. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday is the inspiration for the January 21 program. For more information, call (770) 528-2331.
  • Make New Friends @ Switzer Toddler Time: Wednesday, January 22, 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Switzer Library. Toddler Time is stories, music and activities for children ages 18 months to 3 years.
