What you need to know today in Northeast Cobb.

1. Whether you want to comment on the calendar, transportation budget, or something else, you won't want to miss this morning's CCSD Board Meeting. Public Comment starts at 8:30 a.m. with a 30-minute limit. The meeting will convene immediately following comments. 514 Glover Street. For more information, call 770-426-3300.

2. Do you take care of a parent or elderly person with Alzheimer's? The Care N Share Alzheimer's Support Group is open to individuals who are assisting an aging loved one both inside and outside of the home. Savannah Court Assisted Living, 886 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta. 2nd Wednesday of the month. 10:30 a.m. Respite Care provided. Please RSVP 770-977-4420.

3. A state Department of Revenue computer glitch gave thousands of Georgia residents more than $12 million in tax refunds. Efforts to retrieve the money cost taxpayers nearly $50,000. They won't say who is to blame, or if a worker was fired. Read more in this AJC article:  http://bit.ly/ibTGkC.

4. Board of Zoning Appeals variance hearing. 1 p.m. BOC Room, second floor, 100 Cherokee St.

5. Do you like to walk for exercise? It's never too late to start a fitness program. Register for online for the fitness program Walk Georgia.
