Abbadabba's Gives Out 'Slow Down' Signs

The East Cobb retail shoe location is distributing free signs to encourage drivers to be more pedestrian-friendly.

Press release:

In an effort to help reduce threats to local pedestrians from speeding cars, Abbadabba’s East Cobb is distributing “SLOW DOWN” yard signs free of charge to residents, civic organizations and parent teacher associations. All five Abbadabba’s stores in metro Atlanta have partnered with PEDS (Pedestrians Educating Drivers on Safety, Inc.) a non-profit organization, to encourage local drivers to slow down and create safer neighborhoods.

“We are thrilled Abbadabba's shares our passion for walking and creating a more pedestrian- friendly community,” said Sally Flocks, President and CEO of PEDS. “Their generous support has funded these complimentary yard signs and expands our reach into the Atlanta suburbs through more convenient distribution points.”

Much of the threat to pedestrians comes from speeding cars. Posting SLOW DOWN signs on streets sends a clear message to drivers who treat neighborhood streets like highways. Visit www.peds.org for additional information.
