INAUGURAL GEORGIA SPORTSCASTING CAMP

ANNOUNCING INAUGURAL GEORGIA SPORTSCASTING CAMP – JULY 21‐25, 2014KENNESAW,  GA  –  National sportscasters  Dave  Popkin  and  Jared  Greenberg  announce  the formation of the Georgia Sportscasting Camp, the inaugural edition of which will be held at the Harrison High School TV studio in Kennesaw, Georgia from July 21‐25, 2014.  The interactive day‐camp  is  open to  high school  and  college students  ages  13  and older  and will feature basic instruction in sports broadcasting, including: play‐by‐play, anchoring, interviewing, stand‐ups, sports talk, sports updates, operation of studio equipment, and more.  Big‐name guest speakers from  local  and  national  broadcasting  outlets  will  supplement  Popkin  and  Greenberg’s instruction.  The camp will take road trips to major league arenas and broadcasting facilities and an Atlanta Dream WNBA game.  The program is sponsored by Skills USA.Dave  Popkin  has  over  20‐years  of  professional sportscasting  experience,  including  currently serving as a college football play‐by‐play announcer for ESPN3, the color commentator for the Seton Hall Basketball Radio Network, the play‐by‐play voice of Northeast Conference Basketball on MSG, MASN, Fox College Sports, NESN, and other regional sports networks, and as a radio announcer for the Buffalo Bisons (Toronto Blue Jays Triple A affiliate).  He has also appeared this year on NBC Sports Network and CBS Sports Network.Jared Greenberg currently works for Turner Sports and is primarily seen on NBA TV as a host, anchor and reporter. He hosts a variety of shows including: GameTime, Shaqtin‐A‐Fool, Making The Call, Fantasy Insider and he is the first on the air for all of the network's breaking news stories. He  has  also reported  from  Western  Conference  Finals for  TNT. On  a  nightly  basis, Greenberg  is the  voice  of  game  highlights  and features  on  all  of  Turner's  digital  properties including NBA.com and NCAA.com.
