If you aren't a big fan of high school football, you may feel ostracized in the high school sporting world. Not to worry! Just because you don't enjoy the gridiron doesn't mean your Fridays are lost to high school sports.
Teams from two of the three local high schools are in action off the football field tonight, participating in tournaments and regular season games all over the state. Here's a rundown of the action.
Lassiter
- Trojans Varsity Volleyball is taking part in the Lovett Volleyball Block Party tournament at The Lovett School in Atlanta. Games will be from 5 to 9 p.m.
- JV Fast Pitch Softball is playing in Kennesaw Mountain High School's 12th Annual Mustang JV Fall Classic Fast Pitch Softball Tournament at Adams Park in Kennesaw. The Trojans do not play until Saturday at 4:30 p.m. against Allatoona, but the tournament starts at 4:30 p.m. today.
Kell
- Longhorns JV Fast Pitch Softball is also at the Mustang JV Fall Classic. Like the Trojans, their first game is not until 4:30 p.m. Saturday, when they square off against North Cobb.
- The Varsity Softball team will travel to Roswell High School to take on the Hornets at 5:55 p.m.
