PUMPKIN PATCH -- Decorating for holidays is one of our JOYS! We LOVE treating the children to decorations that bring smiles to their faces! And they do seem to enjoy the treats on Halloween as well. We like to repeat memories from our own childhood treats of Halloween Past with popcorn balls, candied apples, corndogs & spooky cupcakes for those special little trick-or-treaters on Halloween night! CREEPY SCARECROW -- He will scare crows and humans! Come visit the Schilling Cemetery in Arbor View for a trick or treat, sit in the electric chair and visit the Christmas deer turned werewolf.
POKER PIRATES -- These guys will play cards around the clock until after Halloween. Good thing they don't need much in the way of snacks.
SHOCKING SKELETON -- I made the Graveyard Keeper for this year. On Halloween night the fuse box will be opened with the wires ripped out. With a click of a remote it will start popping and sparking.

GHOULISH GREETING -- We love Halloween! It's our favorite holiday after Christmas. I love that my 4 year old is excited that our house looks "spooky". I'm the only house in our neighborhood with decorations... what's wrong with these people?! All I need now is some dry ice! I hope the kids are excited to trick or treat at our house every year :)

UPDATE-

Gremlins stole our brains! And maybe we had a little too much witches' brew while trying to sort through so many great contest entries.

But we goofed and included a few non-eligible photos in the finalists that we shared with you earlier. We promise to make it up to our spooky shutterbug friends, but we have to make things right and follow the contest rules.

You'll see some new photos in the mix and we've hit the reset button on the voting. (Hey, this is still a lot less embarrassing than that hanging chad business from a few years ago.)

Dear readers, ghouls and goblins,

We are happy to report that we got 140 wonderful, spooky, creepy fun photos from you, the Halloween loving public!

A team of editors burned the midnight oil to select five finalists in the Spooky Patch Halloween Photo Contest. Now it's your turn to decide on the winner!

So cast your ballot for your favorite Halloween decor. And please use the comments box below to tell us why you voted the way you did. (Or heck, just tell us why you love Halloween.) You can vote once every 24 hours. The voting period closes at noon on Halloween.

The person who submits the best ghoulish photos of Halloween decorations will get a $200 gift card. The winner will also be featured in an article on Patch and remembered forever in the Creepy People Hall of Fame. (OK, you know that doesn’t really exist, but we really like this idea.)

Wow! We have gotten nearly 200 votes in this contest so far! (Sorry, we can't say who's in the lead.)
We'd love to hear what you liked about the photo you voted for. Please take a moment to share your thoughts in the comments.

My vote was easy - it's my picture! But I chose to enter the photo of the poker-playing pirates because it's how I think of Halloween. Enjoying time together with friends is a part of normal every day life. Skeletons are scary. Enjoying time together when you're a bunch of skeleton pirates is normal for scary creatures. Halloween is a chance to allow ourselves to laugh at the scary things.
