This video explains the thinking behind the forthcoming roundabout at Holly Springs and Davis roads.

The Cobb County Department of Transportation used this video on a continous loop during the East Cobb Senior Center open house Monday night on the planned installation of a traffic roundabout at the intersection of Holly Springs and Davis roads this summer.

Check out the DOT video and the Patch video from Monday's meeting, then let us know in the comments below: What do you think of the new roundabout?

Thank you Cobb DOT! This is smart and forward thinking. Please keep building roundabouts where appropriate. Those cool T intersections with the continuous moving lanes (Lower Roswell @ Old Canton) are great also. I know these are more expensive than traditional 4-way STOP but the cost is worth the improved traffic flow. Could you please call Sandy Springs and convince them to put one in on Johnson Ferry at Wright Rd? At the very least they should put a light in with a long delay on the Wright Rd sides. It's probably a 50 to 1 ration at rush hour and car after car is stopping for no reason whatsoever.
