Touch-A-Truck Returns Sept. 29
Explore different county vehicles including fire trucks and police cars, and help support the Cobb Safety Village.
Children and adults alike are invited to examine and get inside their favorite municipal vehicles at this years' Touch-A-Truck event, held on Sept. 29 at Town Center Mall in Kennesaw.
Big red fire trucks, sleek and stylish police cars and less iconic vehicles such as dump trucks and heavy construction trucks will be on display and open for exploration. Children will get to sit in the drivers' seat of their favorite vehicles and pretend they are firemen, policemen and even a TV news reporter.
Fans of vehicles that leave the ground will be in for a treat as well, as a police helicopter is scheduled to appear at the event.
Admission to the Cobb EMC-sponsored event, which lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is $5, with a $20 cap on families. All proceeds from the event will go towards the Cobb County Safety Village, the region's benchmark for safety training facilities for adults and children alike.

No... Anyone can go by a fire station whenever they want, and the firefighters will be happy to show the trucks if their not out on a call. The police department will schedule a tour without any problem. This is a fundraiser.
